IBTI - International Business & Technology Incubator, Moscow, Russia

IBTI is FENIXTEC's partner in Russia for technology commercialization. FENIXTEC was instrumental in developing and managing this organization starting with 1994 USAID grant. Now both organizations form a unified team working together in successful commercialization of Russian technologies. IBTI is formed by FENIXTEC, FASIE and ANE. Dr. Leonid Kelner, FTI CEO, Academician Abel Aganbegian, ANE Director, and Prof. Ivan Bortnik, FASIE President are Members of the Governing Board. [www.ibti.ru]


FASIE - Russian Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises, Moscow, Russia

The Fund was formed in 1994 by the Decree of the Russian Government as a non-profit organization to assist the development of small technology businesses. The Fund has representatives in 25 regions of the Russian Federation and provides financial assistance to small technology businesses on a competitive basis. FASIE is a long-standing FENIXTEC partner in Russia joining often in co-funding of innovative projects. IBTI is providing consulting services both to FASIE and recipients of their grants.

USIC - United States Industry Coalition, Arlington, VA, USA

FENIXTEC is a corporate member of the United States Industry Coalition, Inc. (USIC), a nonprofit association of US companies and universities dedicated to the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction through commercialization of technologies for peaceful purposes. USIC members participate in Initiatives for Proliferation Prevention, a program operated by the US Department of Energy. The IPP program allows weapons technologists in the New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union to join in partnership with US industry to transform weapons technologies into viable products for the global market. FENIXTEC is actively working with USIC and DOE/IPP program in assistance to develop commercial applications of weapons scientists intellectual property. [www.usic.net]

ISTC - International Science and Technology Center, Moscow, Russia
ISTC is the G-7 initiative for assistance to scientists in Russia to work in civilian research and potential commercialization. FENIXTEC and IBTI provided ISTC with valuable services in assistance to goals of ISTC in redirecting Russian scientists from weapons research to commercial applications of technologies. Our team provided extensive training programs for ISTC grants recipients in Business Basics, Technology Commercialization and Project Management. A series of courses were delivered in 1999 and another program was delivered in 2000. A special workshop was delivered to ISTC staff by FENIXTEC specialists in February of 2000 on the subject of Project Management. In 2001 IBTI became ISTC Regional Training and Support Center. ANE - Academy of National Economy, Moscow, Russia

FENIXTEC has long standing relationship with ANE dating back to early nineties. ANE's Rector Academician Abel Aganbegian was instrumental in supporting the concept of a technology incubator in Moscow as a system to educate and assist Russian scientists in commercializing their scientific developments. The educational arm of IBTI eventually branched out into a currently well known division of ANE - the Center for Technology Commercialization Training (CTC). Joint efforts resulted in initiation and implementation of the Master's Degree Program in Technology Management at CTC. [www.ane.ru/en/]

BNL - Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY

The Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies. Brookhaven also builds and operates major facilities available to university, industrial, and government scientists. The Laboratory is managed by Brookhaven Science Associates, a corporation founded by Stony Brook University and Battelle, a nonprofit applied science and technology organization. FENIXTEC and BNL are partnering on one of projects recently funded by DOE/IPP program - Heavy Metals Wastewater Remediation. [www.bnl.gov]
